A Certificate of Fitness (CoF) and a Warrant of Fitness (WOF) are regular inspections that ensure your vehicle meets safety standards.

The CoF is required for heavy vehicles such as trucks, larger trailers, and motor homes, as well as all passenger service vehicles like taxis, shuttles, and buses, including rental vehicles.

The WOF applies to most other vehicles.

It’s essential to maintain your vehicle in CoF and WOF condition at all times. For instance, while your tyres may pass inspection, you need to replace them once the tread reaches the minimum depth. Waiting until the next inspection could result in a fine.
